In order to move from a carbon-based energy system more sustainable one, focus is put on liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) systems for CO2-free storage and release. this study sulfur as dopant the Pt/TiO2 catalyst was identified be selective poison resulting in high performing catalysts dehydrogenation experiments with LOHC perhydro dibenzyltoluene/dibenzyltoluene (H18-DBT/H0-DBT). The S–Pt/TiO2 were compared current benchmarks Pt/?-Al2O3 S–Pt/?-Al2O3. found achieve degree of 98% which competitive benchmark addition, analyses side products resulted higher selectivity toward dibenzyltoluene than ?-Al2O3 supported catalysts.
